Most of the tourists visiting Spain would go to one of the popular Spanish seaside destinations. In 2007 Spain was the second most popular tourist destination in the world, almost 60 mill. tourists went to Spain. There is a reason for this, Spain has a very pleasant climate with lots of sunshine, warm weather and little rain, especially in the southern parts and on the islands. So if you want to get away from winter, Spain is the place to go to, and in summer it is usually not too hot and the air is relatively dry.
Spain has a lot of tourist attractions, like the lovely beaches, and most tourists visiting Spain would go to one of the well known holiday destinations such as Costa del Sol in southern Spain, Costa Brava on the southeast coast of Spain, Costa Blanca in the northeast, Costa Verde on the north coast facing the Bay of Biscay, Costa de la Luz on the south west Atlantic coast, the Canary Islands off the coast of northwest Africa, or Majorca and the other Balearic Islands in the Mediterenean Sea.
In the winter months the Canary Islands are probably the best choice, if you want to be able to enjoy going to the beach. In the summer months all of the seaside destinations are nice, with warm weather and very little rain, apart from Costa Verde , where rain during the summer months are more common. In the southern parts of Spain it may get very hot on Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Costa de la Luz , but it seldom lasts for long until it starts to cool down a bit.
